Palm/Passion Sunday, April 13 at 9:45am – We start outside (weather permitting) with a palm procession and the jubilation turns darker with the reading of the passion to prepare us for Holy Week. After worship the youth will host an Easter Egg hunt for children 5th grade and younger.
Maundy Thursday, April 17 at Noon & 7pm – It is a day that commemorates Jesus Christ’s Last Supper with his disciples and reminds us of the importance of humility, selflessness, and service to others. The service includes communion.
Good Friday, April 18 at Noon & 7pm – This is a Tenebrae service, meaning “darkness” in Latin, is a special Holy Week service commemorating Christ’s Passion and Death, characterized by the gradual extinguishing of candles and a loud noise at the end, symbolizing the darkness and earthquake at the crucifixion.
Easter Sunday, April 20 at 9:45am – This is a celebration service of Jesus rising from the dead after crucifixion on the cross. The service is followed by an Easter Breakfast hosted by the Youth and Fellowship Team. This is also a fundraiser for the youth and there will be a free-will offering.
